The peace, the nature, no rush, no stress… an ideal place to relax. And… the starry sky is fantastic! We will definitely come back!

After sleeping peacefully for 1 night, we set out refreshed in search of what for us is paradise. We enjoyed our stay with Joep and Miep, the hospitality and the eel smoking workshop. Highly recommended for everyone!

What you have managed to achieve in a short time through hard work is impressive, hats off. It is a calming place with beautiful nature and with your lovely animals this is the perfect life in our opinion.

The nature and silence of the puszta make you feel like you’re camping in an oasis. Joep and Miep have done an amazing job, I will definitely come back.

PS: don’t be afraid of the dirt road, it’s wide enough and there are places where you can pass each other. (but do drive via Kiskunhalas or Zsana)

The peace, the nature and the hospitality make this campsite truly special. An absolute highlight was the “bird safari” with Joep. Full of enthusiasm, he took us in search of the European roller, which kept us in suspense until the very last moment as to whether we would find him at all. For a moment we started to doubt whether he might not even be there… But then, suddenly: there he sat! What a wonderful experience and what a reward for all that patience. Thank you, Joep, for your enthusiasm and perseverance. We continue into Hungary with a beautiful story and stunning photos.

The Brabant cosiness is immediately tangible! You can see that everything has been built with great care and love and is kept neat and tidy! Be proud of what you have created here! When our children were admitted to hospital, you stayed involved and we knew we could always count on your help. ♡ And what a surprise on our return: everything had simply been decorated with “welcome home”! What a sweet and lovely gesture! Lots of success with the next steps for your camperplaats! ;-) We will definitely recommend you with all our hearts! Houdoe en Hoje! “The little campsite in the Hungarian puszta is a five-star place!!!”

You can’t get much more natural, cosy and lovingly designed than this. The small pool is lovely for cooling off, and the sanitary facilities are all new and stylish.

Since you’re really in the middle of open nature, you even see roe deer, red deer and all sorts of other wildlife during the day. Joep and Miep were very warm and attentive and open to every question.

Why not a full five stars? It’s the access via a Hungarian sand road, which is quite a challenge for caravans. Since we made it with our T5 all-wheel drive, it’s certainly possible for many others too.

“The oasis of peace and the nature were immediately tangible!”

After a long day of travelling, we arrived on the puszta and reached you via the (wrong) sandy road (7 km) late in the evening. We were warmly welcomed with the Palinka. We slept excellently! Very special were Eric’s night with Sandor on the high seat (over 65 fallow deer and 14 red deer spotted!), the fallow deer in the back garden and Joep’s drinking troughs for the wildlife. Miep’s hospitality as a tour guide for the city trip was also wonderful. A real holiday in which we fully came to ourselves!

What a beautiful place you have managed to create! Hard work pays off, we can certainly see that. Thank you for all the cosiness, your friendship and the delicious food. We truly feel at home, also at your place, as soon as we drive onto the sand road. That was a big challenge this year. At the time of writing, I don’t know if we would have made it without help ;-) if we listen to Romy, no! We will certainly come and admire your little paradise in winter too. And next summer we will definitely be there for 3 weeks again. We will miss the little dogs so much, especially Nova. And Joep will probably have to get used to putting the chickens back inside himself ;-) See you in a few months. Puszi Puszi! PS: thank you for the good old fashioned Brabant cosiness. We really missed that!
